Hotel Maison de Ville is special to many people in different ways. We enjoy hearing from guests who have stayed at the New Orleans French Quarter Hotel throughout the years, former owners and even employees.

Were you married in the courtyard? Did you spend your honeymoon at this romantic urban hideout? Have you rubbed elbows with Tennesse Williams in the parlor? Share your story here and read what others have written about their experience at Hotel Maison de Ville.

  1. This is a beautiful hotel, run by an amazing staff that will do anything for you. It’s in an wonderful location that seems like a secret spot. You enter by key through an old door that’s barely noticed on the busy street. You then step in to an elegant version of the 1700′s. As you pass through the interior, you walk in to the most beautiful tiled courtyard complete with heaters, romantic lighting, sofas, and tables. A great spot for the last drink of the evening, or the first cup of coffee in the morning. All of the rooms are stylish and unique. Staying here will make your trip perfect. You go out in to the bustling non stop party that is the French Quarter, have fun, then step back in to this quit oasis. It is well worth your while to stay here!

  2. In 1956, while a student at Tulane and needing a part time job, I became a night clerk at the hotel from 8:oopm to 12:oopm or 1:00am can’t remember. Also was on duty on Sunday mornings.(and presented coffee and pastry at the fountain) The hotel had 13 rooms then, and of course we took no guests from the street..only by reservations. The phone system was a “peg board” system operated at the front desk…. Met Vinson Price there when he came to N.O. seeking art. Have wonderful memories of my N.O. experience, especially the honor of being one of the “quarter” people..we all stuck together. Now 76yrs. look forward to a trip to the quarter hopfully soon.

  3. WOW! From the moment we arrived, our six day stay was perfect! If you would like a small hotel experience with all of the charm the french quarter has to offer, we highly recommend the Maison de Ville. The staff is truly exceptional and could not have been any more accomodating. My husband is always amazed how I find “that perfect place” to stay and this truly was one of the best!

    Thank you for unforgettable experience!

  4. Thank you so much for your hospitality! My wife and I loved your hotel. We’re never staying in a chain hotel again. We really felt like a member of the family. Best wishes.

  5. We were the first “official” guests of the current owners of the hotel. This hotel is such a wonderful place to stay. The owners are so accommodating and have more than all of the bases covered. This was absolutely a five star experience. Bourbon street is right out the front door and the hotel is yet also secluded! Halloween was a luxurious and romantic blast for my husband and I, thanks to the Maison De Ville. We can’t wait to book out reservations again soon!

  6. My wife and I recently enjoyed a wonderful weekend in the cute well appointed two level cottage at Maison de Ville. This historic boutique hotel was just recently completely restored and is absolutely beautiful. While relaxing in lovely serene Spanish style courtyard it was hard for us to believe that we were in the heart of the French Quarter just steps away from Bourbon St. The courtyard is also adjoined to the courtyard of The Court of Two Sisters famous for the best jazz brunch in New Orleans. Our gracious host Richard and Cassie were not only a joy to be around they also made sure all the little details were taken care of. They arrange for airport pickup in a limo, cocktails upon arrival, a fabulous dinner in the courtyard catered by the Court of Two Sisters as well as tickets to the House of Blues gospel brunch. My wife and I have traveled around the world and I have over 20 years of hospitality management experience and put Maison de Ville at the top of list of places to stay anywhere in the world and an absolute must if you’re going to New Orleans!!!
Thank you guys such a wonderful time!!!
